
Ivana Miladinović Prica
Ivana Miladinović Prica, PhD, is a musicologist, Assistant Professor at the Department of Musicology of the Faculty of Music, University of Arts in Belgrade, and Head of the Department of Musicology’s Councel. She received her Ph.D. from the same institution with the dissertation The Effects of American Experimental Music in the Domain of Contemporary Art and Theory, under the mentorship of Dr. Mirjana Veselinović-Hofman. She participated in several academic projects funded under the Ministry of science and ERAZMUS+ programme, as well as exhibitions The Freedom of Sound. John Cage behind the Iron Curtain (The Ludwig Museum, Budapest), Music in the Kingdom of Yugoslavia (Historical Archives of Belgrade). She has published two books and numerous articles in collective monographs, collections of papers and journals (Contemporary Music Review, New Sound, Glissando, Tacet, Treći program).
She is the Vice President of the Serbian Musicological Society and secretary of the International Journal of Music New Sound. Also, she teaches at the interdisciplinary master study program Theory of Arts and Media at the University of Arts in BelgradeIn her scholarly work, she deals with American experimental music, oeuvre of John Cage, as well as neo-avant-garde and the recent music production in Serbia. She is a member of the International Musicological Society, and member of Managing Board of the Composers’ Association of Serbia.
