
Julijana Baštić
Julijana Baštić completed her undergraduate and master’s academic studies at the Department of Musicology and Ethnomusicology of the Academy of Arts, University of Novi Sad, and then enrolled in doctoral academic studies at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade. She deals with the research of tambura practice in Serbia, through the prism of the relationship between music, performing aspects, space and ideology. She participated in several international scientific conferences in Serbia and the region, as well as in several scientific and artistic projects. Her research is based on individual field research, and she publishes the results in domestic scientific journals and anthologies. She was a collaborator on the project of the National Council of the Macedonian National Minority in the Republic of Serbia, which resulted in the monograph Dance and Musical Tradition of the Macedonians in Kačarevo (co-author Goran Milošev, Pančevo 2017). She is employed as a Teaching Assistant at the Department of Musicology and Ethnomusicology within the Music Department of the Academy of Arts of the University of Novi Sad.
