Marijana Prpa Fink
Marijana Prpa Fink, PhD, is a Full Professor at the Department of Acting, Department of Dramatic Arts, University of Novi Sad. She finished her postgraduate (2008) and doctoral studies (2011) in Dramatic arts from the field of theater studies with significance of Meyerhold’s biomehanic and its influence on the theater of the 20th century, as her main field of research. She runs International Theater Art Research Forum for Children and Youth in Subotica. She participated in international conferences (Japan, Canada, Serbia), as well as in theater projects: Scheherazade (1988), Shulamit (1992), Space Salome (2001), The tower of Babel (2004), Wall-Lake (2005), Happy days (2007), History (2008), Hedda Gabler (2011), and others. Beside articles, which have been published in edited books and journals, she is an author of two books: Meyerhold’s biomechanics: significance and influence on the theater of the 20th century (Grotowsky, Barba, Brook) (2014), Stage movement and its effect on the viewer (2019). She participated in several artistic projects of the Provincial Secretariat of Science and Technological Development. She is a member of the Board of the Department of performing arts and music of Matica Srpska, Council of the Academy of Arts, Council of the International Children’s Theater Festival Subotica, Association of theater critics and theatrologists of Serbia. She taught the subject Art and Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine in Novi Sad. Her scientific work is focused on issues of stage language expressed through movement.
